Katie Stanford
Katie is a Registered Nurse with a Master’s of Science in Nursing Administration. She has over 25 years of experience in healthcare. including clinical nursing, nursing education, nursing administration, and revenue cycle. She managed multiple clinical units at several large urban medical centers.
Her expertise includes managing various types of audits from development of audit criteria to reporting of results with recommendations for improved documentation, charge practices and compliance. She has experience in performing and managing pre and post EMR implementation audits, charge audits and government compliance audits including dialysis center and rehabilitation. She is a Certified Medical Audit Specialist and audit consultant for a national healthcare revenue cycle services company.
Karen Cooper
Karen is a registered nurse with a Bachelor’s degree in Science. She has 17 years of healthcare nursing experience including coronary care, clinical office administration, utilization review and revenue cycle. Karen is the lead chart auditor for Bottom Line Systems. She has been a member of AAMAS for 11 years and CMAS certified for 9 years. Karen is currently serving as Vice President of the Board of AAMAS and also on the certification council for CCFA.
Karen believes and is committed to the AAMAS Mission and applies these standards in her daily work. In Karen’s 13-years at Bottom Line Systems she has helped to improve the internal auditing processes with the development of templates, quality reviews and educational programs.
